Brand Vision

Brand Vision

Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls.

Welcome back to the site! I’ve enjoyed creating these posts, you’ll just have to pardon me while I get used to incorporating it in my daily schedule. One of the biggest things I want to incorporate with this brand is the human element, so another outlet I will be adding is the “morning minute”, a one minute video snippet of me blabbing to you. I actually started these awhile back, and have since stopped doing them due to laziness. I have surprisingly received amazing feedback and encouragement to start that back up (who wants to see this ugly mug?), so I will be kicking those back up Monday-Friday. If interested, those will be posted on our instagram and facebook page, so make sure you give those a follow! I’d now like to take a quick minute to share my brand vision, and what I have planned for this thing.

#1 Create Something Different

Okay, I’m sure every brand says this, but I truly mean it. Since I’ve immersed myself in the strange world of manufacturing and product design/selling, I’ve noticed people are focused on one thing, and one thing only. Money. I’m going to be frank with you – I don’t give a shit about money. Never have, never will. Of course I want to make a decent income – I need to provide for my family. I need to afford them the life they deserve. Aside from that, excess money is waste. You bank up stacks and then you die, none of that shit goes with you. I would MUCH rather spend my profits on YOU, the badass awesome consumer that makes all this possible. Now, I want to provide you with the BEST product possible straight out of the gate. As a matter of fact, I’m talking with my manufacturer right now, designing a brand new lid for stainless steel protein shakers to address the markets complaints (1. They leak and 2. They are hard to clean). You bet your ASS our shakers will be the best on the market. That being said, there is always room for improvement. I want to take our gains and pump it back in to the product. Let’s always strive to create something better!

Alright, now that the product schpeel is out of the way, let’s talk about the fun stuff. I want to create a brand for the PEOPLE. Anybody can manufacture a product, slap a label on it, and sell it. How many brands are actually building a community though? Very few. I don’t remember the last time I heard somebody stoked about their water bottle facebook group. Our brand, our products, are all built on the idea that EACH one of you are badasses, and we want all of our shit to encourage you to live that life. Our generation is dealing with an epidemic of social anxiety and self doubt. We see all the flashy people with their perfect bods and perfect lives and feel inferior. Well guess what, you’re NOT. You’re a mother f**king badass, and you are capable of everything that they are and more, you’re just not utilizing all of the power you have in store. We want to create a movement of confidence and empowerment, and see each of you rise to your full potential.

#2 Sponsor badass people doing badass things

One of the things I am super excited about with owning a brand is sponsorship opportunities. There are so many people out there doing awesome things, and they deserve to be recognized for such. As soon as we have some revenue flowing, I plan on reaching out to select individuals, offering them free products and sponsorship opportunities. If you know of anyone worthy of such praise, make sure you let me know in the comments, on our instagram, or through facebook! Along with individual sponsorships, I want to establish our brand as the “Red Bull” of the product world – hosting and sponsoring obstacle course runs, races, concerts, and more! There is so much we can do and create with a brand, so definitely stay tuned for all the excitement! Got ideas on what we should do? Let me know in the comments below!

#3 Create products YOU want to see

One of the biggest disconnects I see in business is from the producer to the consumer. Brands pump out popular products based on their own consumer research, and rarely actually ASK the community what they want. On day one I started a messaging campaign on Instagram, asking you guys what YOU think our first product should be. That offered me an awesome look into the mind of the community, and opened up a healthy channel of discussion. This is something I plan to continue as we grow, polling the community on everything from logo placement to color design. I want to offer you something you actually want! With all this being said, please do not hesitate to message me anytime with suggestions or complaints. I want to hear it from you so we can improve!

Alright guys, I’m going to go enjoy some time with the wifey. I’ll try and get another post up this weekend, adding something a little bit less “business-y” to the blog. Till then, make sure you subscribe to the blog and check out our social media platforms @ Badass Gear Co. !

Later Skaters,

Kyle Adams
